FAQ’s
Q: What is a couples intensive?
A couples intensive is a deep-dive, private therapy or coaching experience designed to help partners reconnect emotionally, rebuild trust, and move forward—often in just 1 to 3 days. It replaces months of traditional therapy with a focused, customized container for healing.
Q: How long are intensives?
Christina offers one-, two-, or three-day intensives. Each one is tailored to your unique needs and relationship goals. In-person and virtual formats are available.
Q: Are these therapy or coaching?
If you live in California, services are provided under Christina’s LMFT license as therapy. If you’re outside California, Christina offers high-level relationship coaching using the same trauma-informed, attachment-focused approach.
Q: What makes a couples intensive different from regular therapy?
Intensives are designed to help you go deeper, faster. Instead of an hour a week, you have an uninterrupted experience to uncover patterns, process emotions, and rebuild connection. Many couples experience breakthroughs that wouldn’t be possible in a standard session.
Q: Can we do a couples intensive even if we’re not in crisis?
Yes! Intensives are not just for couples in distress. They’re perfect for high-functioning couples who want a deeper emotional bond, better communication, or to strengthen intimacy.
Q: What if my partner isn’t open to this?
You can start with an individual consult to explore what’s possible. Christina works with many clients navigating hesitation, emotional withdrawal, or fear of therapy. No one gets pushed or blamed—only supported.
Q: Do you offer retreats?
Yes. Christina offers private and small-group couples retreats in beautiful, calming locations designed to help couples heal, reflect, and reconnect away from everyday stress.
Q: Do you work with LGBTQ+ couples?
Yes. Christina’s work is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in the belief that love comes in many forms. All identities and expressions are welcome.
Q: How do I get started?
It starts with a free 15-minute consult. We’ll discuss what’s going on in your relationship and whether a couples intensive or retreat is the best next step. You can schedule here.
